I provide mental health services, active listening, talking, and thoughtful prescribing. I mainly focus on bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, alcoholism, and marijuana abuse.
I focus on outpatient care, rather than severe mental health issues. I do not treat acute manic episodes, which require hospitalization or specialist care. I do not prescribe benzodiazepines for severe anxiety. I do not accept new patients with ADHD and I do not prescribe new patients any stimulants. If I have questions about medications, I consult with psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners with more knowledge in pharmacology.
I love to teach recovery concepts and support my patients who are new to recovery and a new way of life. I truly care about my patients.
I am an out-of-network provider for all insurance companies. I will provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company which usually covers 50-80% of my fee of $160 per half-hour appointment, minus your deductible and copay.
Some people prefer to work on a cash basis and not submit anything to their insurance company so their mental health diagnosis can remain confidential.
